Product Description
Lesson to teach foreshadowing as a literary device. Students identify foreshadowing clues in a cartoon clip (the clip is referenced but not included in the lesson plan) and then use that knowledge to look for similar clues in literature. This lesson uses The Pearl as a whole class text, but any text can be used. I have used this lesson successfully with eighth graders, others teachers have used it with ninth graders. Second language learners and special education students are usually quite successful with this lesson. Kristin Steeger
