This lesson provides a way for students to do their own research on what is a healthy amount of exercise. This lesson leads to students developing their own exercise routines and setting their own personal goals.
This lesson teaches to the following standard and objective:
Standard 3: Students will demonstrate the knowledge and skills to achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical activity and fitness.
Objective: Students demonstrate their knowledge of the required amount of exercise their body’s need in order to maintain a health enhancing level of physical activity by creating a weekly exercise plan that includes: exercises for at least five different muscles, at least 90 minutes of exercise per week, and both aerobic and anaerobic exercises.
