PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This book is a manual (including 20 images) to help teachers model and specifically teach inferential comprehension skills.
All images used include a 'Huh?' factor!
Students are supported to OBSERVE and list what can actually be seen, QUESTION what they see by writing a series of 'I wonder' statements and finally INFER what they think might be happening in the image.
Images can be used for the whole class, or individually printed and laminated so that they could be used in literacy centers. Discussions following each of the activities might include sharing of inferences relating to a particular image. Why do individuals infer differently? Are all inferences valid? Can they always be 'checked' to see if inferences are correct?
ENJOY the discussions that organically occur in classrooms following activities!
