Product Description
29 printables of information about peanut/nut allergies for the primary grades. I have lots of allergies and I know it can be a difficult concept for students to grasp. I hope that this mini-unit will help teach your students and provide them with a better understanding of allergies :)
Includes:
-Posters for a "nut-free" and "peanut-free" classroom (black chalkboard and white background options)
-Poster for how to be a good friend to those with allergies (what to do)
-Posters about what having an allergy means, symptoms, and what to do if someone is having an allergic reaction
-Mini booklet all about allergies
-Questions and suggestions for read aloud books "The Peanut-Free Cafe" by Gloria Koster and "Allie the Allergic Elephant" by Nicole Smith.
-Drawing/writing about your favorite lunch
-Drawing/writing about what you learned about allergies

Overall this mini unit will give your children a better understanding about what allergies are and with the help of these posters and read aloud books, my goal is to teach children to be sympathetic and aware of specific health conditions that children have today. Short, sweet, but effective!
