Product Description
This explicit phonics lesson may be used as an introduction to the basics of phonics & decoding OR as a review. It may be taught whole or small group.

The lesson breaks down the teaching of letters and sounds starting with the consonants, and sorting them into two columns (according to the SOUNDS the consonants represent): "Stretchy" (continuous) sounds v. "Stopper" (non-continuous) sounds. The instructional guide also includes digraphs and vowels.

NOTE: The tricky ones (q and x) are NOT including because they technically have more than one phoneme when producing the sounds for q and x.
