Product Description
One of the best things we can do as teachers or counselors, is to introduce and explain the concept of self-talk. There is a lot of good research on being able to change the way you think, or the meaning of your thoughts with being able to access and understand your self-talk. This social story explains what it is, shows several concrete examples, and then talks and thoughts affect feelings and feelings affect behaviors. It is great for students who may have low self-esteem and need to be aware of the negative thoughts that may be reinforcing their negative feelings. Continuing with negative thoughts increases negative feeling, whereas changing thoughts to positive based ones, increases those more positive thoughts. Great for an adjunct to your CBT lessons
