This presentation was developed as a "part 2" of a workshop I gave in a professional development series for teachers at City Colleges of Chicago (the first one is also available here on TPT). The adult learners collectively speak over 60 different languages and are from levels low beginning to high advanced. This worked well because students have had little or no formal pronunciation instruction.
This is an introductory workshop for teachers. In addition to providing an introduction about how to teach the pronunciation of vowel sounds, it discusses accent and provides suggested resources that are helpful for giving students a stronger foundation in pronunciation.
