I use this for peer teaching of grammatical structures in my French and Spanish classes. However it could be used to peer teach all manner of topics in other subjects. I always remind the students that we remember 90% of what we teach others, it is therefore the most effective way to remember information.
There are lots of creative peer teaching ideas such as:
Sing it: pop, opera, heavy metal, rap…..
Model it: using pencil case items, things in the classroom, things in your bag, plasticine, blutack…..
Start the PowerPoint and it will flash through the slides. PLEASE NOTE This does flash through quite quickly and whilst I do not know for sure if it could be dangerous I would err on the side of caution and NOT show this to students with epilepsy, alternatively I would check with them if they felt it might affect them.
Simply right click to stop the PowerPoint. The students then have a few minutes to use their creativity to teach the grammatical structure or topic in the style on the screen. Then left click again to start the images flashing up.
Creative and fun!
