These little tickets are a nice reinforcement to use during your spelling lessons. Noticing great effort carries a little more impact if you can hand out a tangible item...even if it is just a piece of paper!
These aren't part of any complicated tracking system. Students don't achieve levels or work their way up a ladder of some sort. They are exactly what they say they are: a little bonus point. That's it. It's just a more concrete way to say "I noticed you." Students know they have to work hard during your spelling lesson plans to earn one.
Try them out and see what happens!
This PDF download includes two pages of bonus tickets...one page is multi-colored and the other is black-and-white.
Take a look on this page of my website
to see how these tickets can be part of your overall spelling program.
Children's eyes light up when they get a simple bonus like this...not bad for a little scrap of paper!
