This product contains visually appealing, hands-on materials to help students better understand the different syllable division patterns within two-syllable words.

The following items are included within this product:

(1) Colorful Reference Posters for each of the following syllable division patterns:

Each poster includes an animal picture/name as well as multiple examples that correspond the syllable division pattern.

(2) Differentiated Syllable Sorting Activity: Use this as a tool for beginning learners or students who are more advanced with syllable division. The product contains two versions of the sorting activity, so you may differentiate as needed. This activity is great for helping students build fluency with recognizing different syllable patterns within words.

(3) Roll-and-Read Game: This product includes details for two ways to use a fun activity to help students build fluency reading words with different syllable division patterns.

(4) Student-made Interactive Syllable division flip book: This hands-on project provides students with an opportunity to apply what they have learned about syllable division patterns. The book they create may be used ash an assessment tool, an independent center activity, an activity for review, or as a reference tool in the future.

You may use this product in it's entirety (for older students), or pick and choose from the materials as you teach the different syllable division patterns in your class (with younger students). It is intended to be both, a flexible tool for ongoing instruction as well as one concise unit if needed.
