I have had SO
many requests for resources to be bundled together to help teachers save money--and I do have many bundles in my store. Sometimes, however, there are two resources that are such perfect complements to each other, that many teachers end up buying both of them separately. After much thought--"Teaching Tandems" were born! Each one consists of two related products that, together, help make your teaching more complete--and now they can be purchased at a discounted price when you buy them together.
make sure that you don't already own one of the two resources before purchasing!
Downloading the preview will give you the preview of each of the two resources so you can see what you get--as well as a brief document explaining why I paired the two together.
This “Teaching Tandem” is full of hands on ways to make key fraction concepts more concrete for students. Several of my fraction resources are available in my other fraction bundle—but these two are not. The first is a set of 5 concept sorts that really help you see where your students’ misconceptions are. All directions (including photos) are included.
The second resource is a tiered activity that helps students see that mixed numbers can be broken up (“decomposed”) into two smaller fractions. This helps students internalize basic addition and subtraction with fractions as well as work with estimation and reasoning. These are two of my best sellers, now available together at a reduced price. Enjoy!
The two included resources are:
Concept Sorts: Fractions
Fractured Fractions: Composing/Decomposing Mixed Numbers
