PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Many students still think it is perfectly acceptable to make fun of people with physical or mental handicaps. This unit teaches tolerance and empathy while helping students to build a connection with Christy Brown, an Irish author and painter, and Art Honeyman, an American author and poet, both of whom had cerebral palsy.

Unit includes:
--"My Left Foot" by Christy Brown reading questions
--"My Left Foot" alternate assignment (for students who cannot watch the movie)
--"My Left Foot" and "Music Within" movie questions
--"Music Within" alternate assignment (for students who cannot watch the movie)
--List of questionable material in both movies, with times, to better censor what you show in your classroom
