Make the most of your RAINFOREST TOOB figures with these activities from the “Teaching with TOOBS” collection. This set uses the 11 figures in the Rainforest TOOB— jaguar, emerald tree boa, macaw, toucan, caiman, iguana, red-eyed tree frog, spider monkey, giant anteater, poison dart frog, and tapir— and includes the following resources:
- The MONTESSORI MATCHING MAT builds sorting and classifying skills, vocabulary development, and knowledge of the Rainforest ecosystem.
-The ROLL AND COVER ADDITION GAME is a fun way to practice addition skills. Add a set of dice and let children roll their way to mastery. Children roll the dice, add the two numbers together, and then cover the sum with the matching TOOB figure.
-3-PART MATCHING CARDS provide multiple choices for the Science Center. Match figures to names, fact cards to photos, figures to fact cards, and so on.
Technical info: Each image is a high-resolution photograph with a minimum of 300 dpi, and I’ve repeated the same photos throughout the set to further reinforce vocabulary development.
P.S.-If you’re not familiar with Safari TOOBS, I’ve included “What, Why, and Where to Buy” information in the preview.
