Nearly all labels and items in this packet are editable – so you can type your own information over the top of what has already been written in the area. There are a few limitations however. Unless you own a full paid copy of Adobe Acrobat (not the free Adobe Acrobat Reader) you will not be able to save the changes you make, so you will need to print out your work immediately as all changes you make will be lost when you close the program. Additionally, you will not be able to change the size of the text so some of what you want to type may not fit. Sorry but this is a limitation of the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. I’ve tried to make the text size adaptable so you can fit most of what you would want to type though.
If you see any boxes or rectangles around editable text, don’t worry. This is an option in some Adobe Acrobat Readers – it’s just to show you where you can type and will not print.
I’ve included blank labels for most of the labels and items in case you wish to print some and hand write the information on them. You can of course just delete the information in others by highlighting the text and pressing delete.
Remember that you can print all the pages at once or just one at a time. I’ve included the page numbers in small text at the bottom of each page so it’s easy to tell the software which one you want to print – just go file >> print, and under “Pages to Print” click the “Pages” radio button, and type the page number. Once it prints, you can modify the text and print again if you wish to get different text on the same background. This is particularly relevant for the name plates where you’re going to have large numbers of slightly different prints.
The reward chart is designed to be used either with stickers or with the “stickers” I’ve included – just cut them out individually and stick them in with glue. With the book plates and the student of the day wrist charts, changes you make to one will be reflected in all the others to reduce typing.
Please note that the quotes, the alphabet chart, the bookmarks, 100s chart and the thank you cards are not able to be edited.
Note on spelling: I’ve attempted to use US spelling on words such as color and center. Because editing is so easy, feel free to modify the spelling to the UK / Australian spelling (colour and centre) by highlighting and typing over.
