Create a positive classroom community with these English Language Arts team builder and icebreaker activities. Much like the classic “21 Questions Game,” students walk around the classroom asking one another questions in order to use critical thinking and guess the characters, people, and authors on the cards on their backs. Each card has information to help the students respond to the questions. Furthermore, this activity uses inquiry and cooperative learning to get students engaged. It’s excellent to use for back to school!
This bundle includes the following:
• a selection of 40 different characters (from these titles- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, To Kill a Mockingbird, Romeo & Juliet, The Hunger Gamers, and The Outsiders);
• a selection of 40 different people such as athletes, musicians, actors, icons, and historical figures;
• a selection of 32 diverse authors from classic literature and young adult fiction.
Additionally, blank card templates can be made for more desired characters, people, and authors. All cards can be printed in color or black and white. This 80-page resource includes teacher instructions, student handouts, extension activity, lists of characters, people, & authors, activity cards, and blank cards.
