Maximize learning, student engagement, and accountability during team work. These role cards are written in "I can" statements. Cards are two-sided: one side lists all "I can" statements; the other side lists prompts a student can use to lead his/her role. In my experience, students become adept at understanding their roles/responsibilities, holding each other accountable, working productively and collaboratively, and sharing/adapting to different roles throughout the year.
