These graphic organizers are used to guide a small group of students in analyzing a story.
This activity makes for a great mini-project, where students choose a story they will present to the class.
The organizer guides them in identifying important aspects of the story, including point-of-view, plot elements, figurative language, and more!
At the end, students are given space to create their own comprehension and discussion questions they can use as they "teach" the story to their classmates.
This download includes an upper elementary version and a middle school version of the graphic organizer. It also includes a group work rubric to help you assess the quality of each group's process, product, and presentation.
