Are you looking for a fun and interactive activity to help your students learn the importance of teamwork and communication? If you answered YES, then this activity is for YOU! Bridge Building 101 challenges students to create a structure out of plastic drinking straws and straight pins that will hold a text book for one minute! The two additional "challenges" are that they must use their non-dominant hand and sit on their dominant hand, and they are not able to speak to one another! By removing the ability to communicate verbally, they will get creative with using their non verbal skills, and you will see the different leadership and teamwork "personalities" emerge! This activity is a great activity for high school or middle school students, and it sets the stage for a great discussion about teamwork and communication!
