Tears of a Tiger Part 4 Scavenger Hunt for Information
This covers pages 57-79 of the novel (How am I supposed to Write Poetry?, Christmas Without Rob, Good Morning Hazelwood, and Black on White)
This is an active reading scavenger hunt with a total of 27 questions where students actively hunt for information and analyze the text while they read the story. It also engages the students by enhancing enjoyment, and understanding. It focuses on important events and twists in plot, vocabulary, and conflicts. It also highlights important examples of figurative language found in the story. My scavenger hunts are always a hit with my high school kids.
This packet also contains a special poetry interpretation and writing activity. Students will analyze and discuss the Tears of a Tiger Character Poems in cooperative learning groups and then write their own poems. There is also a graphic organizer to help the students in this process.
