This Unit uses many of the same resources as Lesson 2, so we offer it Free as a continuation of those activities.
Lesson Three in the Techniques of NO Unit includes these Learning Topics
Students will learn how to communicate an I-Message with Assertiveness Skills.
Students will accomplish this by acting out I-Messages imitating Passive, Aggressive or Assertive responses. The students will use the I-Messages they created during Lesson 2.
Students will be assessed by their ability to accurately communicate an assertive method of communication. (Students already know how to communicate passive and aggressive responses).
The Complete Techniques of No Unit includes 5 Lessons, with student worksheets teacher answers, and resource information sheets. All lessons meet the National Health Standard and have clearly defined Daily Learning Targets/Objectives. Each lesson can be used for grades 7-12, and Homeschoolers. The Unit is designed to take 5 to 6 days to complete (Classes are 55 minutes).
Saying NO nicely, quietly, effectively, peacefully is a skill of graciousness. It never hurts us to be gracious. People create circumstances that are good or bad, and we have to deal with people and their circumstances as we go through life. The purpose of the Techniques of NO Lessons is to assist students to become skillful in relating to both people and circumstances so that they can make a success out of their life.
