Product Description
Is technology a gift or a burden? That is the guiding question of this two-day lesson on the early American Industrial Revolution. Students are motivated because the lesson connects to modern technology (something they can relate to!) This engaging lesson begins with a motivating entrance activity. Then the teacher shows the powerpoint which is essentially a "What am I?" game. A student handout accompanies the powerpoint. The lesson concludes with a station activity in which students work cooperatively to complete an organizational chart relating to inventions. A homework assignment is included as well. This is one of my favorite lessons I do with my classes!

Included in this download:

1. Teacher lesson plan
2. Teacher key
3. Student handout
4. Inventions powerpoint (the powerpoint is also saved as a Quicktime movie so you can choose which format you use)
5. Inventions homework assignment
6. Entrance activity signs
