Over 200 lessons and activities for grades K-5 that will make a great addition to your technology curriculum. This 1 year all access pass for these lesson plans and activities will save you so much time coming up with what to do during your computer lab time. Ideal for a technology teacher or grade level teachers with mandatory lab time. All you have to do is a mini lesson to introduce each lesson or project and then let your students get to work!
What your students will gain:
By completing the lessons, your students will learn dozens of digital tools, internet safety, research skills, and create original works nearly every week. There are units on both MS office and Google Apps (I get asked this question a lot. BOTH are included). See the lesson titles below for a full picture of what is included.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Question: How does the 1 year subscription work?
Answer: This 1 year subscription will give you full access to all of the K-5 lesson pages and files that are on the k5tech.net website for one year (365 days). Throughout the year I update and adding new lessons and activities which will automatically become available to you through the subscription. After 1 year when your subscription expires, you can renew it for another year by purchasing this 1 year subscription again.
Question: What platform will the students be using? Are they done in google drive? Like an interactive notebook?
Answer: All of the digital content is housed on the website k5tech.net. The lesson plans and rationale pages are for the teacher (and administrators, right?) as PowerPoint files, and the website is set up to just click and go for the students to complete the activities. Think of the PPT files like the teacher manual and the website like the student workbook (but digital). Visit it ahead of time at k5technologycurriculum.com to get an idea how it works. You can find several free pages on the Samples dropdown menu. If/when you purchase access, you will create a class username and password to access the grade level pages included for your purchase.
Question: Do these include Google Apps or MS Office?
Answer: Both! Starting in 1st grade there are lessons to teach excel/sheets, word/docs, and PPT/slides. Pick the units that work for your students and skip the ones that don't.
Question: Do I need to buy anything additional software for my students to use this curriculum?
Answer: No! Everything you need is included. There are optional outside subscriptions for some activities. If you want to use the lessons for digital passport from common sense media (4th grade) then you will need to make a free teacher account. There are optional “early finisher” activities like Moby Max and discovery education that could be used if you have an account but there are tons of other options if you don’t.
Question: Are there any other resources that go well with this curriculum?
Answer: Depending on how much support you need, I recommend these additional resources:
These are all optional. I recommend them for someone who likes a lot of extras or has classes longer than 45 minutes at a time.
What you need in order to use these lesson plans:
- Purchasing this resource gets you access to specific pages on my website, k5technologycurriculum.com. You'll be making a CLASS ACCOUNT on the site for your students to use to get to their lessons and activities. Think of it like Single Sign-On. All students need to log in every time.
- Laptops are ideal (PC or Chromebooks) because there are units on MS Office and Google Apps. It can work with Mac devices as long as you have either Google or Microsoft software access for your students.
- The file for the editable lesson plans and rationale pages is in PowerPoint. You can download it from TpT and then upload it into your Google Drive to open it in Slides if needed. Everything will transfer.
Each lesson or project includes:
-a rationale page
-an editable lesson planning page
-a web page with linked prompts, directions, and activities (view the free content on the Samples dropdown menu at k5technologycurriculum.com to see how it all works)
- You (the teacher) will make one class account on the site that you and your students will use to access the lesson pages.
Enough to last you the entire school year!

Important Licensing Information
Although most of my resources for sale are meant for one classroom use only, this one has licensing options for school use:
1-5 Users: Purchase one license
6-10 Users: Purchase ONE additional license
11-15 Users: Purchase TWO additional licenses
16-20 Users: Purchase THREE additional licenses
In these instances, "users" means how many "classes of students" these will be used with. If you're a computer lab teacher and you have four 5th grade classes, the 1-5 users license is perfect for you. If your school has seven 5th grade classes and you're all going to use these lessons, purchase one license and one additional license. If you have questions about licensing, please email me before purchasing.
Teachers, use a Purchase Order to buy this curriculum.
