Description
This is a student assignment whereby the students use a variety of nonfiction resource books and the internet to research different forms of technology. This assignment focuses on the exploration of extreme environments: desert, space, deep ocean, polar regions and volcanoes; however you could alter it to fit the needs of your classroom and students.

Thank you for the download. I haven't used timerime (timeline) before. Do you use it a lot?

Thanks for your feedback, Lori! I have done this assignment twice so far and actually haven't gotten to the point where the students take it further with this technology component. I originally put it in there as an extra option, an extension or a differentiation for students on IEPs.
There are a few other free timeline options for students out there, but I also found that many of them required students to be 13+ and mine are 11 & 12, so legally they couldn't sign up for an account.
Sorry this doesn't help much, but hopefully gives you a bit more insight.
