This is a fun little activity to get kids thinking about the importance of "unplugging" once and a while. Great for a beginning of the year activity, use during national unplugged week, an English assignment, or a backup activity when the computer lab is experiencing computer problems.
In the past I've had students work both independently and in groups to come up with silly rhymes about why it's important to unplug from their technological devices. Some have created poetry and others have gotten creative with a "rap" off session in front of the class. There are some rhyming words they can use as a basis for their rhymes, or they can completely use their own ideas!
