DC Science Standard - 5.2.2. Give examples of advances in technology that have positively and/or negatively impacted society.
This 6 day mini-unit allows students to think about technology on a deeper level. Various levels of Higher Order Thinking are applied throughout the mini-unit. Students eventually pick a technology, create a survey, administer it, and analyze the data in order to better assess the benefits and disadvantages of a particular technology.
1) A 6 day mini-unit overview with brief descriptions for each day (meant for the teacher). These aren't formal lesson plans.
2) Power point (which goes along with the lesson for Day 1).
3) All student worksheets needed for each of the days.
