This set of 6 stations allow your students to explore teen numbers through a number of modes.
Dinosaur Teen Numbers Math Center #1: Students choose a dinosaur egg and build that teen number on a ten frame. Students are encourages to use relationships between teen numbers to build efficiency and spatial relationship understanding.
Dinosaur Teen Numbers Math Center #2: Students order number cards from 10-20 and match up ten frames to each number. Variations on this activity allow you to use it over and over with your students!
Dinosaur Teen Numbers Math Center #3: Students spin two separate spinners to add sums ranging from 2-16. A recording sheet has been included for accountability.
Dinosaur Teen Numbers Math Center #4: Students spin two separate spinners to subtract from teen numbers. A recording sheet with spaces large enough to accommodate small drawings has been included.
Dinosaur Teen Numbers Math Center #5 & #6: Missing whole diagrams allow students to add the two known parts together. Students record the diagram and the equation they used to solve on their recording sheet. A second variation in which diagrams are missing a part have also been included.
