The teen numbers are often very difficult for young children to identify. These numbers can be cut into cards and laminated to help children practice identifying the teen numbers. This is a variation of the "Touch Math" method for number identification.
Directions: Trace down the "1" and say "ten..." and count on the ones from the next digit.
Example: For "13" say "ten" (as you trace your finger down the "1" and then "eleven, twelve, thirteen" (as you touch the 3 ones cubes printed on the 3.
