This product was designed to be used with the Milton Bradley classic game Don't Break the Ice to work on describing skills and is a must have for your Winter curriculum! It is a highly motivating way to work on describing object function, features, object location, object parts and categories.
This set includes:
*Newly revised: A time-saving picture chart with pictures that match the describing task cards. Use this chart to determine the location of the ice block to tap during your turn. No extra prep needed!
32 object picture cards to attach to the plastic ice cubes if your preference is to have them mounted permanently on the ice cubes
Color-coded game cards for targeting specific describing skills including:
32 game cards for describing object function
32 game cards for describing features (size, shape and color)
32 game cards for describing object location
32 game cards for describing object parts
32 game cards for naming categories
16 number cards
To play the game, the SLP selects a set of playing cards to target a specific describing skill or mixes several sets to work on multiple aspects of describing. The students take turns turning over a playing card, and completing the describing task. Then they find the corresponding ice block and tap it until it falls. Play continues until all the ice blocks fall to the table.
This set does NOT include the Don't Break the Ice Game by Milton-Bradley. You must purchase the game separately.
