If you are getting frustrated with your students writing words like happy, sad and mad when they are sharing their feelings in writing, this is the activity that will be the game changer!
The top of each page has an "off limits" word like those listed above that your students will work on graduating from with either higher words or vocabulary.
The second portion allows your students to use the two page mini glossary at the front of the booklet to substitute higher vocabulary. I call that section "Tell" me how you really feel.
In the 3rd section, we have gone through the trouble of going online for you and your students to find pictures of people and animals that are doing certain things to show how they act when they feel a certain way. They were copied and pasted in the form of a collage.
The last section of each emotion page is called "Show" me how you really feel.
Your students will use the portion to write phrases or sentences that will take emotions to the highest level. Ask your students what the characters in the pictures are doing and possibly thinking and saying to show how they feel.
