Using a more narrative approach, this intervention helps children and teens communicate about their lives have been like and communicate their ups and downs in a non-threatening manner. Originally created for children who where undergoing major life changes, such as CPS involvement, family change or adoption, but has been helpful working with children from all different backgrounds. It is flexible in the manner that you can use the different interventions individually or as a collective.
This would not be appropriate for groups unless it was specific groups aimed at life changes or trauma work and was being facilitated with someone experienced in trauma work. This also would not be appropriate as a classroom activity. By either drawing or writing these activities could be modified for most school aged children.
