Telling Time Activity - hour - half hour - quarter hour - five minute intervals: These are my Roll it, Say it cubes
. It is a fun activity for students to practice telling time. This pack has a total of eight cubes. Each cube has six clock faces and tests a specific skill. The skills tested here are telling time on the hour, at half hour intervals, quarter hour intervals and five minute intervals. This is a good alternative to regular worksheets since many students are kinesthetic and need to incorporate movement into their learning. This activity is Common Core
aligned for first grade 1.MD.B.3
How to prepare:
Print out the cubes with the skills you want your students to practice on card stock paper. Score lightly along the lines, fold, tuck in the flaps and stick along the folded edges with clear tape.
How to play:
In small groups, students roll the dice and read the time (facing up) on the clock as either digital time or analog time format.
