Product Description
Telling Time BUNDLE

In this Telling Time Bundle you will find activities that help students tell time in five minute intervals reading digital and analog clocks as well as determining a.m. vs p.m. These activities include BINGO, Task Cards, Flip Up Sorting Books, Meet Your Match and Spin-a-Time.

BINGO
I’ve made this set to be played in small groups either with a teacher or as an independent math center. I have included a blank BINGO board as well. I use this when I feel as if the whole class has mastered the skill. I will call out the answers and have the kids write them randomly on their boards. I then put the calling card under the overhead. I like to let students talk to each other and help one another out. Not only does this get them talking about the skill on hand, but it makes the game go much faster!

Included you will find:
~ A directions sheet for students (I usually laminate it to a large envelope and keep the game inside.)
~ 1 Blank BINGO board
~ 6 BINGO boards in EACH of the following:
* Analog Clocks (five minute increments)
* Digital Clocks (five minute increments)
~ 24 calling cards in EACH of the following:
* Analog Clocks
* Digital Clocks
* Word Form

I’ve tried to make this set as versatile as I possibly could. This makes the game easy to differentiate for students. You can combine any of the calling cards to any of the BINGO boards as you see appropriate for your kids.

Task Cards
Both sets of task cards are for students to practice telling time in five minute increments.

The first set asks students to give the digital time to the given analog clock. This set is multiple choice.

The second set gives students practice in determining elapsed time. The cards have two clocks on each card. One clock has the time given in the problem and the other is blank. When cards are laminated students may write on the blank clock to help them solve for the elapsed time.

I’ve made this set to be used in small groups either with a teacher or as an independent math center. Task cards are a great way for students to take on one problem at a time without being overwhelmed by worksheets. I have also included an answer key so that students can check their work.

Included you will find:
~ A directions sheet for students (I usually laminate it to a large envelope and keep
the cards/recording sheet inside.)
~ 24 “What time is it?” Task Cards
* Corresponding recording sheet
* Answer key
~ 24 “Elapsed Time” Task Cards
* Corresponding recording sheet
* Answer key

Flip Up Books
In this sorting activity students will sort These two telling time flip-up books will give students the opportunity to practice telling time to the quarter hour, half hour and on the hour as well as giving practice determining a.m. vs p.m. activities.

Students will cut out the sorting cards and glue them under the appropriate flap. Students will also have the opportunity to fill out their own cards and trade with another student. This activity is ideal for math centers and independent practice.

Included you will find:
~ A.M./P.M. Flip Up Book
~15 A.M./P.M. Sorting Cards as well as three blank cards for students to fill out their
own a.m./p.m. activities and give to another student to sort.
~ Quarter After/Half Past/Quarter Till/On the Hour Flip Up Book
~ 27 Corresponding Sorting Cards as well as three blank cards for students to fill
out their own times and give to another student to sort.
~ Directions Sheet for students. I usually laminate on a large envelope and keep
activity inside.

Spin-a-Time
I’ve made this set to be used during math rotations as an independent activity. Students spin twice, once for the time and once for a.m. or p.m. Students then need to determine what they would be doing during this time and record it on the recording sheet. This activity gives them practice recording the time on an analog clock as well as practicing the concept of a.m./p.m.

Included you will find:
~ A directions sheet for students (I usually laminate it to a large envelope and keep the activity inside.)
~ One Spin-a-Time Board (Either print on cardstock or laminate for durability.)
~ Two recording sheets, one lined and the other primary.

Meet Your Match:
I’ve made this set to be used two different ways.

1.Students use during a math rotation in small groups as a traditional matching game.
2.This can also be used as a whole class. Pass out all the cards (There are 30 total) and have students look at them. They then walk around the room and try to find their matches. When students have found their matches, they link arms and hold up the cards to be checked. If they are correct, they sit down. As soon as everyone has found their match, you can play again. I usually time them. They love to see if they can beat their time. I also like to play this as a silent game. They seem to work faster with no talking. :)

Included you will find:
~ A directions sheet for students, for the matching game. (I usually laminate it to a large envelope and keep the activity inside.)
~ 10 Digital Clock Cards
~ 10 Analog Clock Cards
~ 10 Word Form Cards
~”Meet Your Match” Labeling Cards

Hope you have a ton of fun with these!!
