Telling time can be tricky, but it shouldn't be! The numbers and time increments don't always make sense but when you color code the hours and minutes, you'll be off to a better start! Simply print the clock pages and hands. Now each student will have their own manipulative to utilize during your unit.
1.Students will get a clock with lines to cut and color.
2. Students will then cut + color the hands.
3. Teacher or volunteer can hole punch and brad the 2 clocks together.
4. Lastly, students will align their cut clock on top of the other color minute increment page and lift the flaps to color the correct color below.
Helpful tip: I had my students line up the 12 and :00 and told them they shouldn't move the clock, as they were coloring they could use their pre- cut flaps as a guide...as their lines and colors would end up funky or wrong.
