Activity
1. Teach or show your child how to use a timeline to determine elapsed time in hours.
e.g., School starts at 8:30 a.m. Lunch is at 11:30 a.m. How many hours from the time school starts to when you go to lunch?

2. Have your student or child complete the exit slip.

3. Assess how well he or she did using the answer key (provided).

Common Error: If there are any missed questions your student or child may not understand how to use a timeline to find elapsed time in hours.

Reteach: Have him or her correct any missed questions and use the student work space sheet to explain how they came up with the correct answer.
