Students will create a clock flower that measures ten inches tall. It includes two faces (one with hours and one with minutes), two hands (one hour and one minute), two leaves, and a stem. Everything that students will need to make their clock is all on one page!
There are three versions of the clock: one with nothing written on it (students will need to fill in the minutes and hours), one with words and numbers and the hour face divided into sections to make the transition from one hour to the next easier to understand, and one with words and numbers but no division between the hours on the clock face.
This activity involves a lot of cutting. It may be tricky for first graders at the beginning of the year. My second graders had no problem at all!
