I wanted an engaging, fun way for my students to practice telling time. This file includes activities to help students practice telling time to the nearest hour, half hour, quarter hour, and minute with a cute spring bird, flower, butterfly, and bee theme.
Spring Birdies Matchup: Students match birds with clocks and baby birds with time cards. This center focuses on telling time to the nearest hour, half hour, and quarter hour. There are 24 birdie and baby bird cards included.
Time to Get Cracking'- 20 cards to practice time to the hour, half hour, quarter hour, and minute.
Flying High with Telling Time- In this challenging center, students read task cards that contain a clock and problem solving questions to determine the correct time. They match up each card with an insect time card. There are 24 task cards and insect time cards included.
Telling Time Around the Room- Students work in pairs to answer questions on a recording sheet for 18 printed clocks posted around your room. This one is challenging, so I plan to have students work in mixed ability pairs. There are larger and smaller clocks included- you can print the set you prefer.
Also included are recording sheets, answer keys, game boards, teacher and student directions to post with each center, center labels, and a quiz.
