“Scoot” is a fun, engaging movement game for students.
The teacher places the 24 Telling Time cards on the students’ desks or around the room. The teacher describes the rotation path for the students. The students read the time on the analog clock. Then the students write the digital time on the answer sheet. When they hear the teacher call “SCOOT”, they move to the next question/card. When all of the cards are completed, the class reviews the answers on the answer key. There are 24 cards in this set practicing telling time to the hour and half hour.
This product includes QR Codes which when scanned with a QR Code reader reveal the answer in digital time. Students will need to use an ios (iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad) or Android device to scan the QR Codes. You will need a QR Code reader. This is a free app. We use Qrafter, i-Nigma, and a QR Code reader from Tap-Media.
Students simply scan the QR code on the card to see the answer revealed on their electronic device. Students LOVE the mystery involved in discovering the answers. Using technology is engaging and fun!
You can play this game without the QR codes by having students record their answers on the answer sheet and then checking them on the answer key.
This product can be used as a "scoot" game, in a math center, or as a telling time scavenger hunt.
