Students get plenty of practice adding and subtracting time, as well as finding starting time, ending time, and elapsed time. There are 5 sets of these real-life word problems, ten to a set.
The problems generally increase in rigor from Practice #1 to #5, some involving extended periods of time. Many are 2 and 3 step problems. Keep this in mind as you make assignments. You might want to pull one out for a focused study or a group problem.
Each set contains a fun and interesting “Did you know?” factoid about time and clocks. Kids will love the trivia and may use it as a jumping-off point for further research.
