A FUN activity for middle school kids who are learning how to tell time in Spanish!
This is an engaging, interactive activity that helps students learn how to ask and answer the question: 'What time is it?" in Spanish. Students are encouraged to wear 'watches' with digital time displays as they circulate around the room to ask their classmates 'What time is it?' (¿Qué hora es?).
Teachers must prepare a bit ahead of time by obtaining cardboard toilet paper rolls or paper towel rolls to use as the 'watches' that students will be wearing. Once the set is created it is ready to use over and over again with multiple classes.
A FANTASTIC activity for kids who need to get up and move, enjoy talking, and need reinforcement with telling time in Spanish!
A wonderful formative assessment and great use of differentiation. This taps into the multiple intelligences as well.
