Product Description
This product has been redesigned and improved. It now includes game boards for time to the hour, to the half-hour, and to the hour and half-hour combined.

Racing the Clock: Telling Time to the Hour, to the Half-Hour, and to the Hour and Half Hour Combined

Math Centers, Games and Printables
This includes two race car differentiated centers. These centers, games and printables focus on telling time to the hour, to the half-hour and to the hour and half hour combined. Students will explore with both digital and analog times.

1. Racing the Clock: Roll and Cover
Objective: Students will identify time to the hour or half hour on an analog clock. Students will roll the digital clock dice and find the corresponding time on the analog clock on their “Roll & Cover” mat. Students will cover the correct clock with a marker. The student who covers all their clocks first wins! Students will complete extension activities after playing the game.

Materials:
“I Can” Pictorial Directions (pg. 6, 17, 28)
Roll and Cover Clock Mats to the Hour (pg. 7-10)
Dice Template to the Hour: Color and B/W (pg. 11-12)
Extension Worksheets to the Hour (pg. 13-16)
Roll and Cover Clock Mats to the Half-Hour (pg. 18-21)
Dice Template to the Half-Hour: Color and B/W (pg. 22-23)
Extension Worksheets to the Half-Hour (pg. 24-27)
Roll and Cover Clock Mats Hour and Half-Hour Combined (pg. 29-36)
Dice Templates for Hour and Half-Hour Combined: Color and B/W (pg. 37-40)
Extension Worksheets Hour and Half-Hour Combined (pg. 41-46)
Bingo chips or some type of marker to put on the Roll & Cover mats (not included)

2. Racing the Clock: Scavenger Hunt
Objective: Students will identify time to the hour or half hour on an analog clock on their scavenger hunt sheet. Students will search for the matching digital time around the room. After finding the correct time, students will record the digital time on their scavenger hunt sheet.
Materials:
- Digital Time Cards to place around the room to the Hour (pg. 18-19)
- Digital Time Cards to place around the room to the Half Hour (pg. 20-21)
- Scavenger Hunt Recording Sheets to the Hour (pg. 22-23)
- Scavenger Hunt Recording Sheets to the Half Hour (pg. 24-25)
- Clipboard to carry around for the scavenger hunt.
- Painter’s tape to put the cards up around the room.
Procedure:
- Laminate Digital Time Cards for durability.
- Cut out place the digital time cards around the room.
- Students will use their “Racing the Clock Scavenger Hunt Sheets” to complete a scavenger hunt.
- Students will identify the time on an analog clock and look for the matching digital time around the room. After finding the match, students will write the digital time on their recording sheet.
- Students will “win” the race, when they find all of their digital times around the room.
