Keep track of the daily temperatures throughout the week, month, season, or year! My students loved guessing what the temperature was based on how they felt outside and what they were wearing. Ties into the grade 1/2 curriculum about temperature and seasonal changes.
Once the data is collected, you can use the two different graphs (bar graph and line plot) to graph the temperatures you have recorded. This could be done every week or month and continue to extend the learning by looking for patterns! My students really loved this season-long activity! (We did it in the spring and watched the temperatures increase!)
