This is a template for a reading book of strategies that studnets can make. There are several different reading strategies that are listed along with a picture at the end of the document. The pictures/reading strategies are not on the preview. Students can cut these out and glue one above and below the pages that are divided in the middle. Then they can write in there on words next to the picture about what the reading strategies mean. They can even draw a picture to go along with their words. There are more pictures than there are pages so just add them to the back of the students’ book so they can review them. The snoopy pictures are great to add to the back of the book. This would be a great activity do at the beginning of the year and have the books laminated so the students could keep them and use them to eview with. Students could use the book to help them remember ways to read unknown words, what to do if they are get confused or lost when reading, to connect what they are reading to their life or the world, and become better readers. They could use the bookl to answer questions about what they read because some of the strategies are to think about certain things from the story. There are several different ways the pages could be put together including whole punch and yarn, staples, and small book binding like they make calendars out of at Walmart photo center. The preview is just for the first page and really does not show what you are getting. The picures just make the file too large.
