The template can be used as a follow-up activity after you have taught your students about terracotta warriors OR as a bridging activity if you are planning to let them make their own clay warriors (like I did).
It is an excellent tool to allow students to consider features of the warriors and "get into" what they are going to make the following lesson (with clay).
If you are not using clay with your students, no problem! Just let them design their own warriors and HAVE FUN! As an extension of the lesson, students can also share their design afterwards with the whole class and talk about how they are different to the real warriors (e.g. a General, archer, general soldier etc).
This template can be used with 3-6 grades, with various prompting questions on the left side of the worksheet to guide them on what to draw/design and dotted lines in the box to ensure correct proportion of drawing (Proven! Students up to year 4 still struggled with that)
This activity takes about 15 minutes to complete.
