The Temple of Zeus at Olympia stood as one of the primary shrines at the ancient site of the Olympic Games. Built in the 2nd quarter of the 5th century BC, it represents one of the full flowerings of the Doric order of temples. It also housed the monumental statue of Zeus that was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
