Looking for an interactive way to reinforce recognizing if the steady beat is fast or slow with your younger students in music? They will love watching the snowman move across the page trying to catch snowflakes! The product contains 8 student interactive slides (created with PowerPoint 2010). Each slide has several sound effects and animations. Students will click on the snowman to hear a sound. They will then click on the word (fast or slow) that represents what they hear! Students will know immediately without leaving the page if they are correct. Watch their eyes light up as the snowman dances across the page trying to catch snowflakes when they are correct! It is a perfect addition to your Orff and Kodaly resources. The product works well with Smartboards! Students just have to touch the board to activate the animations.
A great game to use with the entire class, a substitute or centers!
An assessment plus an answer key is included with the product as a separate PowerPoint document so you are able to formally assess students on the concept in a later lesson. The assessment document includes:
★ Student test (when printed you will have 2 per page with directions on how to print in gray scale).
★ An assessment key
★ A sample slide of the student test (created with PowerPoint 2010). Instead of playing the tempo on an instrument just project the slide on your board and access the sounds by clicking in the box!
The product was created to be compatible for Mac users. However, please download the preview as a test prior to purchasing!
