Ten Frame Card Games Pirate Theme
Kids LOVE card games. They are easy to play, and can teach so many math concepts. We love to play card games in our classrooms. We wanted to make a set that would not only be fun, but that the children would get exposure to ten frames and how they can be used to decompose and compose numbers, add and subtract.
We have seen many ten frame card games put we wanted ours to be used to play many different games and not just Memory or a Go Fish. So, we decided to make ten frame cards with different suits just like regular cards but with a theme.
Introducing our PIRATE Themed Card set which includes:
Ten frame cards 1-20 for each suit. (parrot, cannon, treasure, chest and a ship’s wheel) (that’s 80 cards)
Specialty cards : Lose a turn cards, Wild Pirate, Your turn again
Number cards 1-20 for each suit (parrot, cannon, treasure chest and a ship’s wheel) that can be mixed in with the ten frame cards to add challenge to any game or have the students match the ten frame card to the number card. (That’s 80 more cards)
Directions to games:
KABAM!! (“War” inspired game)
Bear Are Wild! (Uno inspired game)
