Description

A set of 12 animal ten frame and twenty frame mats. Choose from color or black and white versions of every mat. Motivate your learners to improve their early number skills with these fun pages. Students can easily practice composing numbers, making ten, making twenty, and other important numeracy concepts.

Each type of mat is provided in 6 styles (giraffe, lion, pig, elephant, dog, and cat). Just print the mats and drop them into a plastic sleeve or laminate them for durability and extended use.

This resource also includes two types of printable counters and 15 types of number cards for suggested activities. If you choose to use a set of the provided cards, students will select a card and use counters, tiles, or dry erase markers to show the work on their ten-frame or twenty-frame mat. Editable blank cards are provided in both PDF and PowerPoint format so you can create your own cards and activities, too.


You may also use the mats without the provided cards. Just have students use a dry-erase marker to write a number or equation in the provided box. Then they can use counters, tiles, or dry erase markers to show their work.
