Your daily math meeting isn't complete until you've used the Ten Frames Quick Images Cards!
What are they and what do I do with them?
Use the ten frames quick image cards during your daily math meeting. Just like subitizing dot card patterns, students also need practice recognizing various numbers represented on a ten frame- get them thinking about how many complete boxes they see and how many are empty!
For a few moments during your math meeting, or perhaps while you’re waiting to transition into lunch or another subject, flash these images to students. Give them three seconds to look at the card, then turn it over. Have the students describe to you what they saw, and “how” they saw it.
Next, flip the card over to review and review the ten frame.
