My first graders love using task cards as a math center. It is a fun and interactive way for children to practice many skills. In my classroom we use task cards in several different ways. A class favorite is when I place the cards all over the room and students go on a hunt answering the different questions using their recording sheet. Students love to be detectives and find all of the numbers/answers. We also use task cards in math centers as well as these are great for early finishers.
