I created this fun little activity to use with the book "Ten Red Apples" by Pat Hutchins.
Directions: Use red pom poms, playdoh or apple erasers as your apples (you will need 10). Before beginning the story, place all 10 apples on the tree. While reading the story, “give out” the apples to each animal to follow the story line and use the opportunity to have the student count to tell you how many apples are left before turning to the next page. Complete throughout the whole book until all the apples are gone!
